Fortunately, the dongle will also work with the Apple remote, which is both more elegant and easier to carry in a bag. It allows you to control pretty much all aspects of the EyeTV: navigting the channel guide, pausing live TV, recording, you name it. The remote is, like almost all remotes, ugly.
